Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support our single-family home portfolio across the Greater Houston area. This is a field-based role ideal for a proactive, experienced professional who can confidently assess, diagnose, and complete a wide range of home repairs.

Candidates must have their own tools and reliable transportation—SPM offers gas reimbursement and a truck allowance. While the portfolio spans Houston, we prefer applicants who live in the North or Northwest Houston area for efficiency and routing. This position requires extensive travel across Houston.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to maintenance work orders and complete a variety of residential repairs

Perform troubleshooting and repair, solo, for a wide range of tasks related to:

• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Appliances
• Electrical
• Painting
• Problem solving

Conduct thorough inspections and complete preventative maintenance

Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and left in pristine, ready condition

Communicate professionally with the internal team and residents

Mentor junior technicians and help support training when needed

Document completed work and update the status in the company’s system

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of residential maintenance experience required
• EPA Certification Required
• Must be comfortable using apps/technology to track work orders and updates
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Own a full set of tools
• Reliable transportation required
• Valid driver’s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certifications are a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Compensation: $28 - $35.00 per hour + gas reimbursement + truck allowance
