$25–$30/hour, based on experience | Cincinnati, OH
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | On-Call Rotation
Uptown Rental Properties is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician who brings strong technical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to solve problems independently.
This role is ideal for someone who has built a solid foundation across multiple areas of maintenance and is ready to take on more complex work, help guide less-experienced technicians, and serve as a trusted resource to the broader Facilities team.
If you’re the person others call when a maintenance issue is difficult to diagnose or needs to be done right the first time, we’d like to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Complete maintenance work orders and repairs across Uptown properties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance issues
- Take ownership of more complex or difficult maintenance problems from diagnosis through resolution
- Identify the root cause of issues and determine practical, lasting solutions
- Complete apartment turns, make-readies, and property improvement work as needed
- Know when a repair can be completed in-house and when specialized vendor support is appropriate
- Coordinate with vendors, property managers, and other technicians to keep work moving
- Communicate professionally with residents regarding repairs, delays, and next steps
- Help train, mentor, and support less-experienced maintenance technicians
- Manage and update work orders using an iPhone-based system
- Help maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and organized work areas
- Participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation approximately one week per month
What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of maintenance or skilled-trade experience preferred, including apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or related work
- Are comfortable independently diagnosing and resolving maintenance problems
- Take ownership of problems and follow them through to completion
- Enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping less-experienced technicians develop their skills
- Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, managers, and vendors
- Are comfortable using a smartphone to manage work orders and documentation
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Can perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting 50+ lbs.
- $25–$30/hour, based on experience and technical ability
- On-call bonus pay
- Paid training and career growth opportunities
- Company-provided tools, uniforms, and work phone
- 401(k) with company match and profit sharing
- Company-paid Life & Long-Term Disability Insurance
- Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
- Free Parking
- Employee Assistance Program
- Monthly employee events
