Job summary

Carris Reels in Rutland, Vermont seeks a Maintenance V/VI to uphold machine performance in the West Rutland Assembly and support Main Mill operations. This full-time role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and efficient uptime for production lines.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills, a track record in manufacturing, and a commitment to safety. First shift with teamwork across departments is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in mechanical, industrial electrical, and hydraulics
• 4+ years’ experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting
• PLC desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair on production and packaging machines
• Install new equipment as necessary
• Read and interpret work orders for maintenance and service
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and Carris Reels safety program
