Job summary

Grainger is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:30am). You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on automated material handling systems in the Distribution Center, including conveyors and related controls.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will work to keep operations safe and efficient. The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, familiarity with Dematic or similar conveyors, AC drives, PLCs, and CMMS usage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software).
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system repairs on conveyors and building components.
• Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes for automated equipment when authorized.
• Troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O networks like Probus, Data Highway, and CanBus.
