Job summary

MPP in Rockwood, TN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production by maintaining equipment and facility systems under the Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting.

Key duties include repairing production machines, performing preventive maintenance, reading manuals/blueprints, and welding as needed. Shifts: 2nd or 3rd. Competitive benefits and full-time hours offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Basic PLC experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely select and use basic shop, power, and hand tools.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs during production, as well as perform scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose issues, repair or replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machines and facility systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
• Install and maintain power supply systems, conduit, wiring, and programmable controllers.
• Use electrical testing equipment and material handling tools safely and effectively.
• Operate equipment within assigned areas and provide coverage as needed.
• Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform welding tasks (MIG & ARC).
• Respond to additional maintenance and electrical requests as needed.
