Job summary

PHINIA Technologies Holdings Mexico S. de R.L de C.V. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of automated systems and machinery at the plant in Mexico.

You will lead a team of technicians and engineers to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Responsibilities include developing maintenance schedules, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, managing spare parts and budget, and collaborating across functions to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in maintenance management within an automated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced certifications in automation or maintenance management is a plus.
• IATF requirements expertise.
• Experience with Kistler press, Helium leak test, Siemens PLCs and HMI systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all automated systems and machinery.
• Ensure timely and effective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment including robotics and PLC/HMI systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage spare parts inventory and the maintenance budget, negotiating with suppliers as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance for senior management reports.

JOB PURPOSE

Maintenance Supervisor responsible for overseeing the maintenance and continuous improvement of automated systems and machinery within the plant. This role involves managing a team of technician and engineers, ensuring minimal downtime, optimizing performance, and maintaining safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

5 years of experience in maintenance management within an automated manufacturing environment Advanced certifications in automation or maintenance management is a plus IATF Requirement expertise Experience with Kistler press, Helium leak test, Siemens PLCs, and HMI systems is required

Maintenance Management Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all automated systems and machinery Ensure timely and effective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency Oversee troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment including robotics. Kistler press, Helium leak test, Siemens PLCs, and HMI Systems

Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers Conduct regular performance evaluation and provide training to ensure team members are skilled in the latest technologies and safety protocols

System Optimization Continuously assess and improve the performance of automated systems Identify opportunities for upgrades and enhancements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs Implement best practices for predictive and preventative maintenance

Safety and Compliance Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessment Promote culture safety within the maintenance team and across the plant

Inventory and Budget Management Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations Source and negotiate with suppliers for parts and services as needed

Documentation and reporting Maintain details records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime incidents Prepare and present regular reports of maintenance metrics and performance to senior management Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation’s standards and regulatory requirements

Collaboration and effective communication Core competencies Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools Knowledge on safety regulations
