Job summary

Solenis, Fort Scott, KS, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead multi-disciplinary maintenance teams and drive reliability, asset care, and maintenance governance across the site.

You will develop and execute the site’s multi-year maintenance strategy, manage budgets, and lead PM/PdM programs, RC M/FMEA initiatives, and mechanical integrity under PSM; coordinating with Engineering, Operations, EHS, and Quality to maximize uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 10+ years of work experience in chemical manufacturing or related field with plant leadership.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing multi-disciplinary maintenance teams.
• Experience with PSM-regulated processes and mechanical integrity programs.
• Knowledge of CMMS/EAM platforms and reliability improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NEC, NFPA, and related safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; RCA, RCFA experience a plus.
• Budgeting and financial planning skills for maintenance projects and operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site’s multi-year maintenance and reliability strategy aligned with business goals and asset lifecycle needs.
• Lead the maintenance organization across all shifts including supervisors, planners, technicians, and reliability engineers.
• Establish maintenance governance standards and performance expectations for PM/PdM and work execution.
• Drive a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Lead implementation of RC M and FMEA, and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Oversee RCA for chronic issues and drive engineering/process improvements.
• Improve key reliability metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, uptime, and OEE.
• Coordinate major shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages with contractors and EHS compliance.
• Partner with Engineering on capital projects and asset upgrades; influence equipment selection and reliability standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory and vendor performance; optimize costs and service levels.
• Lead budget development and KPI tracking; advance Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
