Job summary

Turner Industries Group, LLC seeks a Maintenance Planner to join our Project Controls Team at a jobsite in the St. Charles, LA area. Responsibilities include estimating labor hours, developing work plans, and creating job plan packages for Maintenance, Turnarounds, or small capital projects.

The role requires 2 years of field planning and 4 years of craft experience, with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Experience with Turner planning tools and SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of field planning experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects or outages/turnarounds.
• Four years of jobsite mechanical craft experience or BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related.
• NCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction, maintenance or turnarounds is a plus.
• Strong background in piping and/or structural work scope planning.
• Ability to estimate material and labor quantities from drawings for multiple crafts.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar.
• Experience with Turner planning software (WinTake/Win PCS/QuickPlan) is a plus.
• Ability to walk and plan from elevated structures; mentor junior teammates.

Responsibilities

• Review specs and drawings to determine scope of work and estimate contents.
• Prepare estimates including takeoffs of materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Document expectations for resource utilization and timing in ERP systems.
• Develop job steps, craft breakdown, and man-hours with SMEs.
• Prepare subcontractor work packages for bids and execution.
