Job summary

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Mechanical Planner to join our Project Controls Team in Baton Rouge, LA and be placed at a jobsite in St. Gabriel, LA or the surrounding area.

You will estimate labor hours and develop work plans for maintenance, turnarounds, and small capital projects, with focus on piping and structural work scopes. Two years of field planning plus four years of craft experience or a BS in a related field are required; TWIC is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years field planning experience in industrial maintenance or turnarounds.
• Four years craft experience or a BS degree in construction/engineering.
• TWIC or ability to obtain TWIC card.
• Strong background in piping/structural scope planning.

Responsibilities

• Review specs and drawings to determine scope and estimates.
• Prepare takeoffs of materials, labor and subcontractors.
• Develop work plans and job plans for multiple disciplines.
• Estimate extras, change orders and discovery work items.
