Job summary

You will troubleshoot equipment, read blueprints, supervise Maintenance Mechanic I and II staff, perform preventive maintenance, complete required reports, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational training in three maintenance trades toward journeyman status.
• EPA Type I and Type II certification for refrigerants.
• Three years of related field experience or journeyman progression requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical systems so components meet design intent and troubleshoot motor starters, switchgear, and control circuits.
• Prepare piping and installations for domestic hot/cold water, heating systems, fire protection, sanitary waste, and steam lines.
• Read blueprints and perform renovation/construction work as required to meet job standards.
• Repair or install HVAC components to maintain prescribed environmental conditions.
• Provide leadership to Maintenance Mechanic I and II staff and perform preventive maintenance.
• Rebuild or repair machinery and equipment for hospital utility systems (pumps, conveyors, washers, etc.).
• Complete reports and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
• Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and all applicable laws.
