Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking two experienced Maintenance Mechanics for a continuous chemical manufacturing environment in Geneva, IL. One role covers 2nd shift and the other 3rd shift, with a favorable pay range and overtime during shutdowns.

Responsibilities include maintaining pumps, motors, pumps and piping hardware, troubleshooting 480V and VFDs, and performing preventive maintenance while documenting in CMMS. Safety and compliance with PSM/OSHA/LOTO are essential.

Qualifications

AAS or maintenance certifications or 10+ years in manufacturing maintenance.
Chemical, process, or industrial manufacturing experience required.
Strong mechanical skills with pumps, mixers, motors, and piping.
480V and VFD troubleshooting preferred, esp. for 3rd shift.
PSM experience a plus.
PLC knowledge a plus but not required.
Solid understanding of OSHA, LOTO, and hazardous material handling.
Must bring own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair pumps, mixers, reactors, motors, piping, valves, and transfer equipment on a continuous process.
Rebuild pumps, service mixers, swap motors, and handle wiring.
Troubleshoot 480V circuits and VFDs; PLC knowledge helps on some shifts.
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance and record in the CMMS.
Get equipment back up fast when something fails mid-run.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and QC on prioritization of fixes.
Support quarterly shutdowns and annual plant turnaround.
Follow PSM, OSHA, LOTO, and hazardous material handling procedures.
