Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking two Maintenance Mechanics for Geneva, IL to support a continuous chemical manufacturing process. Roles are split between 2nd and 3rd shifts, with overtime and a generous benefits package.

The on-site facility handles pumps, mixers, reactors, motors, piping and valves across multiple areas, with a safety-first culture. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot 480V circuits and VFDs, and document work in the CMMS.

Qualifications

AAS or equivalent maintenance training required or 10+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Chemical/process/industrial manufacturing experience required.
Strong mechanical skills with pumps, mixers, motors, and piping.
480V and VFD troubleshooting preferred, especially on 3rd shift.
PSM experience a plus.
OSHA, LOTO, and hazardous materials handling knowledge essential.
Must bring own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair pumps, mixers, reactors, motors, piping, valves, and transfer equipment on a continuous process.
Rebuild pumps, service mixers, swap motors, and handle wiring.
Troubleshoot 480V circuits and VFDs; PLC knowledge helps on some shifts.
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance and record in CMMS.
Get equipment back online quickly during mid-run failures.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and QC on repair priorities.
Support quarterly shutdowns and annual plant turnaround.
Follow PSM, OSHA, LOTO and site safety procedures.
