Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a solutions-oriented individual to support our Southern California homes and Owners. This role involves managing maintenance support for Pacaso homes in Malibu and Santa Barbara, ensuring owners have an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate will handle various home maintenance issues and construction projects while maintaining high customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Travel regularly between Malibu and Santa Barbara to support both markets.
- Support routine maintenance and project management tasks.
- Ensure homes are in excellent condition through preventative maintenance, repairs, and projects.
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues such as appliance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool/spa problems.
- Lead large projects with the Director of Capital Projects, overseeing vendors, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct inspections and contribute to capital planning budgets.
- Provide expertise and support cross-market initiatives.
- Mentor team members and lead skill development initiatives.
- Partner with regional leadership on maintenance strategies and asset management.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate estimates, and ensure quality work.
- Develop project plans considering budget, timing, and owner experience.
- Perform property inspections and assessments during acquisitions.
- Maintain detailed property data and inventory.
- Travel as needed and collaborate closely with Home Managers to deliver outstanding owner experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong residential construction experience with 7+ years in relevant trades.
- Live within the Malibu/Santa Barbara area or nearby (Oxnard, Camarillo, Ventura, Thousand Oaks) with the ability to travel daily.
- Established network of preferred vendors.
- Experience in construction project management, overseeing scope, budgets, and on-site operations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting repair issues across various home systems.
- Flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Leadership mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to manage work orders and updates online.
- Own tools and equipment, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to maneuver tight spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
- Approximately $95,000 plus stock options.
