Job summary

Ideal candidates have IBM Db2 for z/OS expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, and experience with modernization, OpenShift, Ansible and Python.

Qualifications

• IBM Db2 for z/OS subsystem administration and database administration.
• Db2 application DBA and systems DBA capabilities including SQL tuning.
• SMF/RMF telemetry and application-trace analysis.
• Database resilience, BCP testing and safeguarding copies recovery.
• Self-service automation for DDL/DML requests and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and implementation of Db2 for z/OS solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to database, application, operations and modernization teams.
• Establish intake and change processes for new workloads and tune Db2 subsystems.
• Develop automation for DDL and DML requests.
• Enable CI/CD pipelines for controlled database changes.
• Review telemetry and traces; propose SQL improvements and design changes.
• Support BCP testing and recovery of data from safeguarded copies.
• Troubleshoot incidents; participate in release and change management.
• Maintain architecture standards, governance and roadmaps during modernization.
