Job summary

The Clearing House in the United States is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer to support Unisys ClearPath MCP environments, maintaining performance and reliability across the mainframe workspace.

Responsibilities include configuring hardware and software, collaborating with IT teams, and assisting with Windows/Linux and network integration. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with stakeholders and supporting operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience in systems configuration, programming, and integration.
• Knowledge of systems programming concepts such as table and bit manipulation, messaging, queuing, database organization and disk I/O
• Experience with Unisys ClearPath Libra mainframe hardware installation and configuration including: OPS console, System Editor, OC Manager, Network connectivity, Storage connectivity, Software Installation
• Experience with Unisys ClearPath Software Series VM based system installation and configuration
• General knowledge of Windows networking and iSCSI concepts
• Knowledge of the integration of the Microsoft Windows server, Linux server and Unisys mainframe environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform highly technical system configuration and programming
• Installation and configuration of mainframe systems and related devices for network and storage system connectivity
• Work collaboratively with other Operations and Technology teams, users, and product stakeholders
• Serve as an internal consultant to systems development staff for information on components of the operating system including file management routines, system performance analysis and software enhancements
• Develop utility software to perform system or application related automation tasks
