Job summary

The Clearing House seeks a highly skilled systems programmer to support current and future implementations of Unisys ClearPath MCP mainframes and related system software, with a goal of maintaining maximum performance and reliability in the mainframe environment.

You will install and configure mainframe hardware and software, work with network and storage connectivity, collaborate across Operations and Technology teams, and develop automation utilities for system tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in systems configuration, programming, and integration.
Knowledge of table and bit manipulation, messaging, queuing, database organization and disk I/O.
Experience with Unisys ClearPath Libra hardware installation and configuration: OPS console, System Editor, OC Manager, Network connectivity, Storage network connectivity, Software Installation.
Experience with Unisys ClearPath Software Series VM based system installation and configuration.
General knowledge of Windows networking and iSCSI concepts.
Knowledge of the integration of Microsoft Windows server, Linux server and Unisys mainframe environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform highly technical system configuration and programming.
Installation and configuration of mainframe systems and related devices for network and storage connectivity.
Work collaboratively with other Operations and Technology teams, users, and product stakeholders.
Serve as an internal consultant on OS components including file management routines, performance analysis and software enhancements.
Develop utility software to automate system or application tasks.
