Net2Source (N2S) seeks a seasoned Mainframe System Programmer with 12+ years of z/OS experience to manage DB2/IMS installations, upgrades, and maintenance across environments. You will drive performance tuning, security controls, and SOX-compliant processes while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes project planning, roadmap creation, and timely delivery of upgrades, ensuring resilience and compliant operations in a complex enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional work experience as Mainframe System Programmer (z/OS).
• Expertise in SMP/E and Non-SMP/E installation of ISV products.
• Experience with IBM and Broadcom software install and upgrades.
• DB2 and IMS database management and utilities knowledge.
• DB2 V12 upgrades or later.
• IMS V15.5 upgrades or later.
• Proficiency in JCL and IBM Utilities (IEBGENER/IEBCOPY/AMASPZAP/DFDSS).
• ISPF/TSO and basic tools; REXX/CLIST knowledge.
• Project planning and coordination with stakeholders; timelines communication.
• Roadmap formulation for prerequisites to achieve project completion.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade DB2/IMS versions and apply maintenance.
• Configure DB2/IMS subsystem parameters for performance optimization.
• Use DB2/IMS tools to monitor database health and objects.
• Enforce DB2/IMS security controls with DBAs for access management.
• Perform SOX audits on database objects to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with app and system teams for database enhancements.
• Lead service restoration for DB2 and related software issues.
• Drive improvements in operational resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity with KPIs.
• Automate tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Maintain baseline operations for DB2 test/production systems and resolve issues.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises to support enterprise system recovery.
