Job summary

Yoh Services LLC is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to manage DB2 and middleware in a large mainframe environment. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, upgrading DB2 software, troubleshooting subsystems, and coordinating changes across teams.

The role requires on-call coverage and weekend work, with collaboration across development and DBA teams. Ideal candidates have extensive z/OS experience, SMPE, REXX, and DB2 Data Sharing, plus 5–10 years in infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred
5-10 years of related infrastructure experience required, experience in securities or financial services is a plus
Strong knowledge of z/OS Mainframe Systems Programming including SMPE, DB2 and DB2 Data Sharing
Ability to lead projects, coordinate maintenance and handle complex incidents

Responsibilities

Install/configure/upgrade DB2 and related software products, including middleware
Troubleshoot DB2 subsystem problems and perform software upgrades
Coordinate changes, requests and incidents with stakeholders
Provide 24x7 coverage and respond to calls in a timely manner
Collaborate with application development teams for middleware platform selection and design
Manage ticket queues and escalated issues, interact with vendors for incident resolution
Lead projects and ensure on-schedule completion
