Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Mainframe Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise mainframe applications (COBOL, DB2, z/OS). You will participate in modernization efforts, migrations to cloud, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver critical business solutions.

The role requires 7+ years of mainframe experience, strong COBOL/JCL/DB2 expertise, and hands-on API integration (SOAP/REST) with z/OS Connect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 7+ years of experience in mainframe application design, analysis, development, and coding.
• Strong experience with COBOL (IMS), JCL, CA7, DB2 and/or BigQuery, COBOL Stored Procedures, and real-time and batch processing.
• 2+ years of experience implementing z/OS Connect, SFTP, SOAP APIs, REST APIs, and other system-to-system integration methods.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining Mainframe COBOL and JCL applications.
• Experience using source code management tools such as Endeavor and GitHub.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and application support issues.
• Experience performing application support activities, including system support, security and audit reviews, and maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities based on business impact and urgency.
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience with Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
