Job summary
Huntington National Bank is seeking an experienced z/OS Platform Lead to manage CICS for z/OS, MQ for z/OS, and zCEE across multiple Sysplexes. You will drive performance, capacity planning, and network connectivity, while mentoring a team of engineers.
The role requires strong executive communication, project roadmapping, and the ability to deliver under changing conditions. On-site at Huntington offices with 24x7 on-call support in rotation, and a compensation range reflecting senior mainframe
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in z/OS / CICS, MQ or zCEE engineering.
- 3+ years in a lead role, or Project Management (roadmapping), or developing KPIs for delivery.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall health, security, resiliency, and performance of System z CICS for z/OS, MQ for z/OS, and z/OS zCEE across multiple Sysplexes and CECS.
- Manage z/OS networking for CICS, MQ and zCEE connectivity (TCPIP, LU6.2, Sockets, EXCI, etc).
- Develop and present roadmaps for z/OS zCEE, CICS and MQ, HA and sysplex strategies.
- Lead problem troubleshooting and root cause analyses for P1 & P2 incidents.
- Develop pre- and post-implementation analyses of system z tech refreshes and app releases.
- Provide technical direction to programmers, analysts, and support staff.
