Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior IBM Mainframe / zSeries Hardware Infrastructure Engineer in Dearborn, MI to design, operate, and maintain enterprise servers including IBM mainframe systems and hybrid cloud environments.

The role involves hardware configuration, virtualization, monitoring, capacity planning, maintenance, and coordinating cross-functional teams, with 24x7x365 support on hardware failures and deployments.

Qualifications

10+ years of IT experience.
8+ years of development experience.
Practical experience in two coding languages or advanced practical experience in one coding language.
Associate degree.

Responsibilities

Design, operate, and maintain enterprise servers, including IBM mainframe systems, high-performance computing systems, and general-purpose hybrid and cloud systems.
Research, design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure solutions for internal customer needs, including specialty software, data warehouses, identity access management, event frameworks, containerization, and on-demand scaling.
Design and configure secure virtualized environments consisting of virtual machines, virtual networks, and high-speed and distributed storage systems.
Coordinate hardware installations and de-installations, including assembling and managing installation and de-installation teams.
Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing and serve as a technical liaison for equipment installations related to Disaster Recovery or consolidation.
