Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Software Engineer for the Gen mainframe product. You will own security posture, guide architecture, and lead secure coding practices in a high-impact, hands-on role on site in Plano, TX.

You will mentor engineers, review code, influence testing, and collaborate with product management and customers to advance Gen modernization while ensuring reliability and great user experience.

Qualifications

• Deep cybersecurity expertise and hands-on coding across legacy and modern tech.
• Extensive mainframe (z/OS) and distributed environments security practices.
• Proven software development experience with multiple languages and architectures.
• Familiarity with secure coding, cryptography, access controls, and industry products.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for Gen.
• Troubleshoot and fix escalated customer cases in engineering.
• Drive design to ensure robust security while keeping a simple UX.
• Mentor engineers and champion security best practices across the team.
• Author technical blogs, webinars, and documentation on security topics.
• Provide thought leadership to customers on Gen modernization strategies.
