Job summary

Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC is seeking a Director of Macroeconomic Strategy to support the Chief Market Strategist and Chief Economist, turning complex market developments into clear, actionable insights for clients and advisors. You will help build forecasting frameworks, analytical models, dashboards and publications, and contribute to market outlooks and allocation decisions across the firm.

This role emphasizes collaboration with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

10+ years' experience in investment research, portfolio management, or strategy.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
FINRA Series 7 required upon hire.
Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Advanced degree in economics or finance, CFA, or CMT.
Strong knowledge in market and economic analysis.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Support Chief Market Strategist and Chief Economist to develop market and economic outlooks and investment themes.
Conduct analysis of indicators, markets, earnings trends, and policy shifts.
Build forecasting frameworks, models, dashboards, and scenario analysis capabilities.
Develop content for market publications and client-facing materials.
Assist with advisor/client events and thought-leadership initiatives using research tools.
