Job summary

Citi is seeking a Global Macro Strategy Associate in New York to support senior team members with rigorous analysis of market and economic data. You will contribute to the monthly asset allocation process and help generate robust macro trade ideas for hedge funds and real money clients.

Responsibilities include theme development, cross-asset analysis with derivatives emphasis, and back-testing strategies. Asia focus and collaboration with London teams are welcomed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience in top-down macroeconomic analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial market time series (fixed income vs. equities).
• Experience with financial market data is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Develop macro themes and cross-asset analyses with a derivatives focus.
• Conduct top-down macro modeling for DM/EM across Equity, FX, Rates, Credit, and Commodities.
• Back-test trading/investment strategies and build macro indicators.
