Job summary

Russell Investments seeks a Senior Research Analyst to lead deep-dive research on external investment managers and strategies in fixed income, credit, and macro domains. You will build manager relationships, apply quantitative tools, and develop clear investment views for portfolios.

With 7–10 years of experience, you will own manager research assignments, deliver data-driven analyses, and help strengthen research processes; strong programming skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Quantitative background strongly preferred in finance or related field.
• CFA or CAIA designation desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and validate data to support manager and strategy research.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment managers and their strategies.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with third-party investment managers.
• Form research agendas for manager meetings with focused questions.
• Explain manager views, investment processes, and research conclusions clearly to clients.
• Develop research-based views and ranking recommendations for assigned strategies.
• Document manager assessments, research conclusions, key risks, and changes in investment views.
• Prepare supporting analysis for investment recommendations and portfolio discussions.
• Create clear investment research content for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with team to set research priorities and deliver objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve research methods, data quality, and processes.
• Use AI tools to improve research quality and efficiency.
