Job summary

Agile Space Industries seeks a Senior Machinist to support rocket engine production at our Durango, Colorado manufacturing center. This hands-on role may include relocation assistance and reports to the Manufacturing Director as we scale up our in-space propulsion capabilities.

You will operate lathes, mills, and surface grinders; perform quality inspections; provide feedback on drawings; maintain equipment; and mentor others while upholding the Quality Management System and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of machining experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to self-direct work
• Computer skills such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, etc

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, mills, and surface grinders
• Perform inspections using metrology equipment
• Provide feedback on engineering drawings to improve machinability
• Maintain equipment
• Assemble hardware as needed
• Follows all safety guidelines
• Meets job standard times with minimal supervision
• Lead, train, or mentor others on machining processes
