GE Vernova's Greenville Gas Turbine site is seeking a Machinist III (01X) to join a high-skill team producing critical turbine components. You will perform advanced setup and operate a range of manual, conventional, and CNC machines to meet tight tolerances.

You must have at least 2 years of machining experience, read blueprints, and uphold safety and quality. This role offers strong ownership of productivity and opportunities to grow with cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of machining experience in a machine shop.
• Advanced experience setting up and operating manual and CNC machines.
• Strong experience with milling, turning, grinding, boring, and/or EDM.
• Experience interpreting blueprints and specifications to tolerances.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and quality issues independently.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and wear PPE.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; background check and drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate a wide range of manual, conventional, and CNC machines to machine gas turbine components.
• Interpret blueprints, CNC code, and work instructions to meet tolerances.
• Apply temperature compensation to maintain dimensional accuracy on large components.
• Select tooling and measuring devices to ensure safe, accurate machining.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and CMM as required.
• Operate material-moving equipment and participate in safety and productivity initiatives.
• Contribute to team problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
