The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, and Quality, plus mentoring supervisors and advancing continuous improvement using LEAN, TPM, and 5S. A strong data‑driven mindset and the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Requires university degree and 10+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Experience leading a manufacturing team with direct reports.
• Proven ability to analyze data and apply structured problem solving.

Aufgaben

• Provide daily leadership for the machine shop and ensure safety and compliance.
• Plan manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate workflow across all levels for consistent output.
• Guide supervisors on machining challenges and process decisions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, and Quality.
• Foster proactive safety culture through audits and coaching.
• Lead employee development and participate in hiring decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement using LEAN, TPM, 5S.
• Work with Maintenance on machine issues and preventive initiatives.
• Support business travel up to 10%.
