Job summary

MW Components, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Machinery Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate various machines in the cell, read blueprints and specs, and maintain quality while following safety procedures.

The role requires at least five years of experience operating production machinery and a High School Diploma or equivalent; proficiency with measuring tools and hand tools, and basic computer literacy are essential. This position is on-site in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specification sheets, and/or mechanical drawings and in precision measurement or become proficient through training.
• Computer literacy required.
• Capable of using measuring instruments such as micrometer, calipers, height gauge, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Operate various machines within the cell
• Makes minor adjustments as necessary or notify Lead person or Set up person if a more significant adjustment is required
• Maintains a clean machine and organized work area
• Performs preventative maintenance including lubricating machines when needed
• Makes minor repairs and notifies maintenance for other maintenance needs
• Performs a variety of tasks such as counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, and transferring of parts
• Use measuring equipment to maintain close tolerances
• Follows schedules and procedures
• Adaptable to cell and team concepts as well as cross-training
• Sees that all safety guards are in place and in good condition
• Assists other operators if necessary
• Inspects work in progress, using equipment necessary and outlined in Quality or Work Instructions
• Responsible for quality of own work
• Forklift operation
• All other duties as assigned
