Qualifications

• MS or PhD in engineering, CS, mathematics, statistics, or related field with ML/AI specialization.
• Background in physics, chemistry, or engineering.
• Experience preparing data for machine learning and performing exploratory data analysis independently.
• Deep knowledge of ML techniques including traditional ML, DL, CNNs, RNNs, generative models, and RL.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with Windows, Linux HPC clusters, and Databricks.
• Strong communication and ability to work with scientists and engineers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced ML, deep learning, and generative AI models.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to define requirements.
• Prepare data, perform EDA, and build models for product development.
• Interpret results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support software development and computational modeling for analytics.
• Research and improve AI/ML technologies and expand Corning expertise.
• Write docs, train users, mentor new engineers.
• Support multiple projects across teams.
