Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer 5 to design, build, and deploy ML models in a scalable, production environment. You will work with Product and Data Science teams to deliver real-world business solutions, and you will help scale multi-tenant platforms for training and serving ML models at scale.

You will leverage cloud architectures and open-source frameworks, with emphasis on reproducible pipelines, testing, and monitoring.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
6+ years programming in Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
6+ years ML experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
6+ years operating large scale distributed systems (Spark, Ray).
4+ years deploying ML in production on cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and using Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science teams.
Scale multi-tenant platforms for training and serving ML models at scale.
Inform ML infra decisions including model/data/feature selection, training, and validation.
Write production-grade code, test and deploy ML models and apps.
Collaborate in an Agile team to enable state-of-the-art big data/ML apps.
Retrain, monitor, and maintain models in production.
