Job summary

Zotec Partners is looking for a Senior ML Engineer to build and extend ML/AI systems that provide governed access to data and tooling. You will design and ship models, create ML data pipelines, and connect large language models to real Zotec data, helping define safe and accurate AI reasoning.

The role requires 3–5 years of ML experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on work with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, and Redshift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required; Master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years delivering ML solutions at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and ML model development, training, and evaluation.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data at scale; data and ML pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Redshift) and LLMs.
• Knowledge of ontologies, knowledge graphs, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ML models and data integrations powering AI products and tools.
• Connect LLMs to real data with tools and integrations for querying and reasoning.
• Own ML lifecycle from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Architect scalable, cost-aware ML infrastructure on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda).
• Apply ontology/knowledge-graph thinking to improve retrieval and data quality.

We’re seeking a Senior ML Engineer to join us.

As a Senior ML Engineer at Zotec, you will build and extend the machine learning and AI systems that give our teams direct, governed access to data and AI tooling. You will design and ship models, build the infrastructure and integrations that connect large language models to real Zotec data, and help define how AI systems reason over that data safely and accurately. This role is perfect if you’re passionate about applied ML, AI tooling, and turning complex data into systems the business can actually use.

We’re seeking ML engineering professionals with:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a STEM field; Master’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years delivering ML solutions at scale
• Proficiency in:
  • Python
  • Machine learning model development, training, and evaluation
  • Working with structured and unstructured data at scale
  • System design for data and ML pipelines
• Familiarity with:
  • AWS, including SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, and Redshift
  • Claude and other large language models
  • Ontology, knowledge graphs, or structured data modeling
  • DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Experience in:
  • Building and maintaining tools and integrations that connect large language models to real data sources
  • Deploying and monitoring ML models in production on AWS
  • Applying knowledge representation (ontologies, taxonomies, or graphs) to improve retrieval or reasoning
  • Instrumenting models and pipelines for observability and performance monitoring

• Can communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and other engineers
• Enjoy balancing technical depth with practical problem-solving, knowing when to prioritize performance, scalability, or accuracy
• Are committed to writing clean, maintainable code and mentoring others through code reviews, documentation, and collaboration
• Enjoy collaborating closely with a supportive team to tackle complex technical challenges from start to finish
• Understand the importance of quality standards, processes, compliance and security as it relates to the healthcare industry and have general knowledge of standards such as HIPAA or PCI
  What You’ll Do:
• Design, develop, and maintain the ML models and data integrations that power our AI-driven products and internal tools
• Connect large language models to real data by building and maintaining the tools and integrations that let AI systems query and reason over Zotec’s data accurately and safely
• Own the ML lifecycle from problem framing and data preparation through model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
• Architect for AWS, designing scalable, cost-aware ML infrastructure using services like SageMaker, Bedrock, and Lambda
• Bring structure to data by applying ontology, taxonomy, or knowledge-graph thinking where it improves retrieval, reasoning, or data quality for AI systems
