Job summary

PACS is seeking a dedicated nursing supervisor to oversee daily nursing operations in a California long-term care setting. You will direct nursing assistants, ensure policy adherence, and coordinate shifts and care plans to maintain high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include charting, medication administration oversight, staff training, and ensuring safety, sanitation, and infection control across the unit. This role requires strong leadership and clinical expertise in geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff adherence to procedures.
• Review and coordinate staffing, shifts, and patient care plans with the Nurse Supervisor and other departments.
• Oversee charting, documentation, and accurate reporting of resident care and discharge plans.
• Manage medication administration, narcotic records, and physician orders per policy.
• Lead staff development, training, and performance evaluations; mentor CNAs and nursing staff.
• Monitor safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures within the unit.
• Ensure admissions, transfers, discharges, and care plans align with residents' needs.
