University of California - Los Angeles Health in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of designated clinical staff. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care and promptly recognize and respond to emergencies.

The role requires an active LVN license with IV therapy and blood withdrawal certification, current BLS/CPR, and proficiency with EHR systems and Windows.

Formación

• Active California Vocational Nurse (LVN) license with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to obtain and document vital signs, administer medications, and process prescription refill requests.
• Knowledge of common and life‑threatening medical conditions and the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to symptoms.
• Ability to identify abnormal laboratory results and promptly communicate findings to providers.
• Experience performing clinical skills within scope of practice, including phlebotomy, injections, and CPR.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling of bio‑hazardous specimens and contaminated instruments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with providers, staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, computer navigation, and electronic health record systems.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and compassionately in person and by phone.

• Work with clinic management, faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and other clinical staff to ensure high standards of care.
• Recognize normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of life‑threatening emergencies and respond appropriately.
