Job summary

UNIVERSITY CARE CENTER is seeking an experienced nursing supervisor to lead the nursing team, oversee assistants, and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures. The role involves guiding daily operations, coordinating care plans, and maintaining high standards of resident care.

You will collaborate with physicians, manage staff performance, and participate in quality assurance programs to improve patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN/LVN license to practice in this state
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities to manage nursing staff and coordinate care

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with facility policies and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with written policies and procedures by all nursing personnel
• Participate in QA activities and develop, update, and implement the Nursing Service Procedures Manual
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts, services, programs and activities
• Coordinate discharge planning and documentation as required
• Maintain accurate nursing records, reports, and documentation and ensure charting is complete and compliant
• Provide leadership and supervision to unit/shift nursing personnel and perform daily rounds
