Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a lead scientist to join the Core Research Team, focusing on structure-property relationships and the behavior of engine oil additive components.

You will guide long‑term research, manage complex projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate findings into product strategy. The role emphasizes leadership, advanced chemistry/engineering expertise, and the development of technology roadmaps to support Heavy Duty Diesel programs.

Qualifications

• PhD with 0–3 years of applied research experience in related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Structure-Property relationships and data analysis.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex research within EO Applied Research.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmap supporting HDD product development.
• Identify emerging technologies and research opportunities for future product performance.
