Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced LRSO Systems Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support for the USAF LRSO Program Office Air Vehicle group. You will contribute to development, test, and production with DoD acquisition phase transition experience.

This on-site role at Eglin AFB, Florida requires strong systems engineering, configuration management, and customer interfacing skills, with limited travel and a current clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering from a recognized institution.
• 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience with CM, configuration items and reviews.
• Experience developing products for DoD acquisition phase transition, Production and Deployment.
• Willing to travel domestically ~10%.
• Current Secret or DoE L clearance with ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support the LRSO SPO Systems Engineering division in program office work.
• Lead systems studies and analyses for technical, programmatic, and organizational decisions.
• Lead architecture analyses, tech development planning, risk assessments, and reviews.
• Plan and participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews.
• Coordinate issues with inter-organizational personnel and customers to scope and resolve problems.
• Develop acquisition-related products (RFP, SOW) and other documents.
• Document work per corporate standards and brief customers with technical recommendations.
• Demonstrate dedication to mission success, technical excellence, integrity, and innovation.
