Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation, based at Eglin Air Force Base, seeks an experienced LRSO Technical Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support for the LRSO program. The role requires system engineering, DoW transition experience, and strong government/customer interfacing.
The position is on-site at Eglin AFB in Florida, with ~10% travel. A current Secret or DoE clearance is required, with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. This is a part-time, casual assignment with limited hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering required.
- 12+ years of relevant technical engineering experience, avionics and hardware design focus.
- Experience leading DoW production/deployment phase transitions.
Responsibilities
- Support LRSO SPO Engineering division and provide expert technical recommendations.
- Interface with government customers and contractors to scope, plan, and resolve issues.
- Lead systems architecture analyses and risk assessments for DoW programs.
- Prepare and participate in Engineering Technical Reviews and acquisition-related documents.
