Job summary

SEM Haven is seeking a Charge Nurse to work cooperatively with elders, families, and staff to create a positive home environment. You will deliver nursing care to residents following policy and quality guidelines, and promote elder-centered activities that maintain or improve functioning.

You will participate in a team-based care approach, support daily life in the assigned household, and help elders live as independently as they wish at SEM Haven. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to elders per facility policies and procedures.
• Promote elder-centered activities to engage residents and maintain or improve functioning.
• Participate in elder-centered, team-based care with staff, families, and visitors.
• Assist with daily life activities in the assigned household.
