Senior Low Voltage System Technician
As a Commercial HVAC Controls Systems Technician Level 2, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional HVAC controls installation services to our commercial clients. You will be responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the cabling and control components for systems pertaining to commercial HVAC systems. You will also ensure the correct operation of common HVAC sequences such as economizer control, zone temperature control, discharge air temperature, and water temperature control for components such as digital thermostats, controllers, and network controllers. Additionally, you may serve as a site superintendent to lead a team in HVAC controls system installation when necessary. All technicians are expected to assist in other roles within their abilities from time to time. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to install cabling and components safely, efficiently, and effectively per job requirements, industry standards, and building codes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working.
- Ensure excellent job productivity by relaying task hazards, status, and completions accurately and timely.
- Train and guide other technicians to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling and components for HVAC control systems.
- Perform setup and startup of common HVAC controllers and control sequences.
- Use system interfaces for troubleshooting and setup of HVAC components and control sequences.
- Serve as jobsite superintendent as required.

Qualifications
- Positive safety attitude and high personal integrity
- High value on workmanship, customer service, and satisfaction
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of control components and installation practices
- Experience in cabling and conduit running
- Ability to read mechanical and control drawings
- 3-5 years of HVAC controls industry experience
- 3+ years of startup experience for controllers and sequences
- Good understanding of HVAC sequences and operation
- EPA license and NATE certification are preferred
- Construction experience required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Work performed while standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, reaching, kneeling, and balancing
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. without assistance
- Exposure to machinery, temperature variations, dust, fumes, and gases
- Work in indoor and outdoor conditions
- Ability to extensively use ladders
Travel and Work Requirements
- Normal hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
- Variable hours depending on job requirements
- Some travel and overnight stays expected
