Job summary

HS Solutions in Washington, DC is seeking a Low Voltage Lead Technician for a 1099 hourly role with potential contract-to-hire. The position requires extensive experience in structured cabling, access control, and intrusion detection across DC, MD, and VA.

You will lead technicians, design IDF/MDF configurations, manage projects, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in the field, OSHA-10, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ expert experience in structured cabling.
• English literacy and basic math skills.
• Able to pass drug test and maintain clean driving/criminal records.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams and coordinate contractors.
• Design IDF/MDF to system specs.
• Track materials, labor hrs and progress.
• Provide safety-compliant field reports.
• Conduct on-site progress meetings and daily stand-ups.
• Inspect finished work for conformance to specs.
