Job summary

Citi’s Equities Technology organization is seeking an experienced, hands-on engineer to join the Equities Electronic-Execution team. You will own development and operational excellence for Citi's next-generation low-latency connectivity platforms, including exchange and client connectivity, order management, and DMA.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Apps Development in financial technology with experience in low latency development in Java.
• Experience in low-latency system design, including performance optimization, concurrency, high-throughput architecture, and network protocols.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to ensure integration of functions and define necessary system enhancements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of complex business and system processes.
• Champion best practices in software development, including automated testing and performance optimization.
• Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to meet goals and provide in-depth analysis.
• Mentor junior developers within a distributed team to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Leverage Citi's AI-powered development tools across the SDLC to maximize productivity and quality.
• Contribute to design, creation and maintenance of monitoring, recovery, and support solutions for production stability.
• Assess risk in decision-making, ensuring compliance with laws, policy and ethics.
