Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Logistics professional to oversee Shipping & Receiving, transportation, and overall logistics for Austin and Taylor sites. The role focuses on safe, compliant, and efficient movement of finished goods and materials across domestic and international operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in supply chain, and experience with international shipping is a plus; an Associate degree is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in supply chain operations.
• Experience with international shipping and customs clearance a plus.
• Associate’s or college degree.
• Military service and education in similar field may substitute for education and work experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational oversight of Shipping & Receiving, transportation, and logistics activities supporting Austin and Taylor operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of inbound, outbound, inter-site, and finished goods shipments.
• Manage vendor-operated labor, trucking carriers, and third-party logistics providers; monitor staffing, training, service levels, safety performance, and operational KPIs, and hold vendor leadership accountable for corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs for safety, cost, turnaround time, labor efficiency, transportation performance, delivery reliability, and vendor compliance to identify risks and drive operational performance.
• Coordinate transportation schedules and specialized shipments across fabs, onsite and offsite warehouses, and external destinations; proactively identify shipment or material-flow risks and resolve disruptions with Manufacturing, Product Operations, Global Operations, and service providers.
• Oversee onsite logistics equipment and depot operations, including PMHE, vehicles, golf carts, fuel storage, and other material handling equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, availability, regulatory compliance, and safe operation.
