Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager to optimize transportation and warehouse operations globally for the Process Technology business. Job Description

As a Senior Logistics Manager here at Honeywell, you will optimize logistics transportation and warehouse operations across all regions globally for our Process Technology (PT) business group, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products and materials to our customers at optimal cost. You will play a critical role in leading and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of transformation and continuous improvement initiatives and strategies to deliver world class service and competitive superiority through logistics excellence.

In this leadership role, you will flourish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where success is rewarded. You will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations, ensure timely delivery of products and customer satisfaction and contribute to the growth of our PT business group.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter and detailed and data oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams and projects through implementation and possess a demonstrated track record of achieving results and operational excellence. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a highly matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization, influence, and gain commitment.

You will report directly to our Senior Director of Logistics, and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC, Houston, TX, or Rosemont, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive breakthrough process improvements in transportation and warehousing to optimize logistics costs and delivery service. Optimize Order-to-Cash process flows to increase efficiency - reduce complexity, manual work, and costs, accelerate cash realization and decision making, and improve customer service.
  • Lead enterprise logistics transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programs to include warehouse network redesign, TMS implementation, and optimizing operating model flows. Drive process excellence, innovation, integration, and implementation of technology solutions / automation.
  • Lead network modeling to define optimal warehouse footprint globally and lead warehouse consolidations.
  • Develop logistics strategies and strategic initiatives improvement roadmaps and drive implementation.
  • Drive domestic road carrier delivery performance improvement to include on-time pick-up and delivery and milestone and proof of delivery compliance across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Identify and execute transportation and warehouse cost out productivity projects to deliver year-over-year savings.
  • Drive on-time Post Goods Issue execution across 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider and site manufacturing warehouses in North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Lead transportation mode transit time and warehouse pick, pack, ship analyses and updates in SAP across all Regions.
  • Lead Management Operating System with Regional Logistics Leaders, Site Logistics Leaders, 4PL, and 3PL's to drive sustainable transportation and warehouse improvements and achieve performance goals.
  • Drive carrier route guide compliance and primary carrier acceptance across all truck and air transportation modes.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, logistics, or supply chain management
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in transportation logistics and warehouse operations or supply chain management for a manufacturing shipper
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles
  • Expertise in using SAP TM, EWM, and MM, TMS, and data analytics platforms to drive decision-making
  • Proven logistics transformation experience, leading large complex projects globally and driving change across the enterprise
  • Direct warehouse/distribution and transportation operations experience across multi-site and complex logistics networks and all road modes
  • Demonstrated track record achieving operational excellence in warehouse/distribution and transportation operations

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Excellent process optimization and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to think independently and plan, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities, objectives, and projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detailed and data oriented. Proven ability to improve metrics through analytics and project leadership
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and 4PL and 3PL teams to deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and organized manner
  • Proven ability to lead in a matrix environment and influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization and drive change
  • Demonstrated track record setting ambitious business targets, defining execution path, and achieving results
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and global complex, multi-cultural, and matrix environment
  • Experience with SAP Signavio, value stream mapping, and process mining
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience applying Lean methodology and tools
  • PMP certified
  • Experience in Chemical industry
COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is <$150,000 - $187,000> for Rosemont IL. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
