Job description

ABOUT onX

We’re a team of builders, adventurers, and risk takers using technology to help people confidently explore the outdoors. Driven by our mission to awaken the adventurer inside everyone, we build products that optimize every outdoor experience and inspire confidence to get out and go further.

We’re a high-growth tech company. The pace is fast, the work takes grit, and ambiguity is part of the job. As the world changes around us, we adapt - continuously evolving how we build, prioritize, and deliver.

Our business moves quickly, and there’s real opportunity to shape what we build next. Each of our verticals - Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Fish - is at a different stage of maturity, which means the challenges you encounter and the impact you have will vary depending on where you sit and what the business needs most.

We operate with an experimentation mindset, continually iterating and improving how we solve problems. We expect our people to use the latest tooling, including AI, thoughtfully and responsibly, pairing human judgment with technology to increase quality, speed, and impact.

Our impact comes to life through the products we build, in the stories of our customers, and in our growing commitment to land stewardship and recreational access.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

onX is seeking a Senior Logistics & Fulfillment Manager to help bring an exciting new connected product experience to market, designed to complement the onX Hunt app and create new possibilities for our customers.

In this role, you'll independently lead the development and execution of logistics and fulfillment operations, ensuring products move efficiently and reliably from manufacturing through delivery and returns. You'll work closely with external partners and cross‑functional teams to establish practical processes, manage operational complexities, and create a seamless experience for customers.

As onX expands into new product experiences, you'll have the opportunity to shape our approach to logistics and fulfillment, proactively identifying risks, navigating complex decisions, and building a strong operational foundation that can evolve with the business.

This role reports to the Director of Connected Devices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Essential Job Duties & Functions

  • Independently lead the development and execution of end‑to‑end logistics and fulfillment operations, from manufacturing through customer delivery and returns.
  • Evaluate fulfillment models and third‑party logistics (3PL) solutions, recommending approaches that balance operational efficiency, cost, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Select, establish, and manage relationships with logistics and fulfillment partners, including warehousing, freight, and distribution providers.
  • Develop and manage inventory processes and systems in partnership with Finance and external providers, ensuring accurate tracking, visibility, and operational accountability.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to support inventory valuation, landed cost tracking, and other financial requirements related to physical product operations.
  • Establish and manage returns, warranty, and reverse logistics processes to support an efficient and reliable customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other cross‑functional partners to align fulfillment processes with product activation, purchasing, and customer experience needs.
  • Proactively identify operational risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks, navigating day‑to‑day challenges independently and escalating significant trade‑offs when appropriate.
  • Provide clear visibility into fulfillment performance, inventory movement, and operational risks, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and stay aligned.
  • Continuously improve logistics and fulfillment processes, identifying opportunities to strengthen efficiency, reliability, and scalability as business needs evolve.
  • Demonstrate onX's Company Values by building trust across internal and external partners, fostering accountability, and proactively addressing challenges.
  • Look for opportunities to embed AI as a repeatable co‑pilot in daily workflows, integrating experimentation into real work and refining its use with sound judgment and validation
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experience evaluating, selecting, and managing third‑party logistics (3PL) providers and other external partners.
  • Strong operational and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate costs, identify risks, navigate trade‑offs, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and accounting concepts, including landed costs, cost of goods sold, and inventory valuation, with the ability to partner effectively with Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience collaborating across Finance, Legal, Product, and other teams to align priorities, resolve operational challenges, and drive initiatives toward completion.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate operational plans, risks, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thoughtfully explore and apply AI tools to improve operational workflows, support problem‑solving, and enhance day‑to‑day effectiveness while exercising sound judgment and validating outputs.
  • A shared passion for and ability to demonstrate onX’s Company Values.

THE ONX EXPERIENCE

onX is a distributed company with more than 400 employees across the country. We come together regularly to work in person and stay connected through regional basecamps and a culture that balances individual ownership with deep collaboration.

While we move quickly, we’re not a scrappy start‑up. We operate with clear goals, structure, and frameworks that guide how we prioritize and execute. Priorities matter. While they may shift, data shapes how we evolve as our business, products, and the world around us change.

Clear priorities and structure don’t limit ownership - they make it possible. You’ll have the autonomy to define your work and make meaningful decisions within clear strategic boundaries. You’ll partner closely with others to solve complex problems and build solutions that scale across teams and platforms. Along the way, you’ll be supported with feedback, tools, and opportunities to grow your craft as you take on new challenges.

We have a strong preference for hiring candidates who live near one of our offices or within a Basecamp, and we prioritize candidates in these locations first. Candidates who live elsewhere in the U.S. may still be considered, provided they reside in a state where onX is currently able to employ team members.

At this time, we are NOT able to employ individuals whose primary work location is in: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia (D.C.), Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

HOW YOU’LL BE COMPENSATED

The pay range will vary based upon experience, skills, certifications, education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full‑time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and an annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.

WHAT WE’RE OFFERING YOU
  • Competitive salaries, annual bonuses, equity, and opportunities for growth
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including a no‑monthly‑cost medical plan
  • Paid parental leave of 13 weeks for birthing parents and 5 weeks for non‑birthing parents
