Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Sr. Logistics Engineer to lead large cross-functional projects across Global Logistics, focusing on process improvement, space and capacity planning, and strategic initiatives.

You will work with Transportation, Delivery, Distribution, and Inventory Planning to drive efficiency and cost savings. The role requires 3 years of experience in logistics or related fields, a strong engineering background, and proficiency with Six Sigma and data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Leads cross-functional strategic or process improvement projects; mentors and guides logistics engineers; provides recommendations to Sr. Management.
Conducts time studies, network analysis, and develops metrics for business units; identifies improvement opportunities.
Develops reports and runs ad hoc queries.
Identifies and develops business rules and SOPs to streamline processes.
Develops and maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
Provides facility and capacity planning analysis for distribution and transportation functions.
Reviews and recommends system/software enhancements.
Develops metrics and KPIs for assigned unit.
Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product, or technology.
