Position Summary

The Senior Logistics Coordinator provides high-level oversight of logistics operations and serves as the principal technical specialist supporting material management, warehousing, and distribution functions. The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least twelve years of direct logistics experience supporting projects of similar complexity. This individual ensures efficient material flow, accurate inventory control, and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards while supporting the Program Manager in directing operational priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage daily logistics operations spanning receiving, inspection, storage, distribution, and shipping.
  • Lead inventory management activities including reconciliation, audits, discrepancy resolution, and stock validation.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with contract performance requirements.
  • Support the design and improvement of warehouse layout, material staging protocols, and process flows.
  • Troubleshoot logistics bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain mission readiness.
  • Review and validate shipping documents, receiving reports, and inventory adjustments for accuracy.
  • Provide mentoring and oversight to Logistics/Material Coordinators and other warehouse personnel.
  • Ensure facility and warehouse compliance with MHE, OSHA, and forklift safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely fulfillment of material requirements.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and documentation required by the Government.
Required KSAs
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and warehouse management practices.
  • Strong analytical ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements.
  • Proficiency in material handling equipment operations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Ability to manage teams and delegate workload effectively in high-volume logistics environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with supervisors, personnel, and Government stakeholders.
Preferred KSAs
  • Experience with Government Furnished Property (GFP) management and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with automated inventory systems, digital barcoding, and asset tracking technologies.
  • Prior leadership roles in DoD logistics, supply chain management, or federal warehousing.
  • Advanced training in logistics planning, risk mitigation, or process optimization.
