Job summary

The Healthcare Senior Loan Closer at U.S. Bank supports loan closing processes and coordinates with Relationship Managers and Practice Finance leaders to deliver exceptional client experiences in healthcare financing.

Responsibilities include reviewing loan documents, managing fees, collecting documentation, and ensuring compliance throughout the closing cycle. Mentoring and maintaining the Healthcare Lending playbook are also part of this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Eight or more years of job-related experience preferred for this role.
  • Experience closing commercial healthcare loans and strong client service skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review loan approval and documents prepared by internal teams and outside counsel.
  • Manage fees and escrow setups; ensure all parties are charged correctly.
  • Collect required documentation from clients and monitor closing requirements.
  • Build relationships with clients and manage expectations through the closing process.
  • Ensure compliance with loan requirements and regulatory conditions.
  • Identify and resolve issues during due diligence and closing phases.
  • Coordinate with title agents, counsel, borrowers, and others for accurate documentation.

Job Description

The Healthcare Senior Loan Closer is a support role working directly with loans, inquiries, and items directly related to client satisfaction with the U.S. Bank relationship while working alongside the Healthcare Relationship Managers and Practice Finance Business Development Officers.

Supports sales teams in executing a One Bank strategy and growing market share.

Responsible for retaining and deepening client relationships by providing exceptional client experience and support that is knowledgeable, timely and professional.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Loan Documentation: reviews loan approval and loan documents prepared by internal teams and outside counsel
  • Managing fees: ensuring borrowers and lenders pay all fees and setting up an escrow if needed
  • Managing documentation: collects required documentation from client based on loan conditions. Monitors closing documentation requirements
  • Managing client expectations: building relationships with clients and managing their expectations for documentation and timing. Identifies and delivers to client's needs through loan closing process
  • Ensuring compliance: ensuring compliance with all loan requirements, regulatory requirements, and approval conditions
  • Identifying and resolving issues: identifying issues during the due diligence phase and working with others to find solutions
  • Communicating with others: communicating with title and closing agents, outside counsel, borrower and others to ensure accurate documentation
  • Collaborating on and implementing new hire and continuing education methodology and resources for the Loan Closing team
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically eight or more years of job-related experience
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Experience working with closing commercial loans for the healthcare industry
  • Considerable knowledge of departmental and bank products and services
  • Proven customer service and problem resolution skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including nCino, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Three or more years of previous real estate loan administration experience or real estate paralegal experience
  • Experience in receiving and implementing performance feedback and coaching
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience deepening relationships over the phone with clients
DETAILS
  • Hold a pipeline of 12-16 loans, closing 5-7per month
  • Take on complex, advanced loan types
  • Act as mentor for team
  • Responsible for maintenance of Healthcare Lending playbook
  • Owns all aspects of training components for closing team
  • Independently works with partners to create and maintain training for Closing team
  • Discovers and implements creative ways to continue education for current Closers and onboard new Closers
  • Stay updated on all enhancements and soon to come items for closing team.
  • Organize special projects to continue the advancement of Healthcare and the closing team
  • Maintains strong relationships with team while being able to train and upskill closers on identified areas by management
LOCATION

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $38.59 - 47.17
