Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking an experienced Analysis, Loads, and Dynamics Engineer to lead full-vehicle structural models and MIL-STD-8591 store carriage analyses for air‑launched effects and munitions.

You will collaborate with Structures, Aerodynamics, Propulsion, GNC, and Systems Engineering to integrate results into design, develop test correlation, and present findings at design reviews.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of system-level structural and dynamics analysis in a program-driven environment.
• Experience building full-vehicle finite element models (NASTRAN/Patran, ANSYS).
• Experience with aeroelastic analysis (flutter, dynamic response) using ZAERO or equivalents.
• Experience with MIL-STD-8591 or similar store carriage analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB for automation and data reduction.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance and qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain full-vehicle structural models for loads and vibration analysis.
• Perform MIL-STD-8591 store carriage, suspension, and separation analyses.
• Guide ground testing to validate models against test data.
• Establish shared loads and dynamics methods with team and document procedures.
• Support aeroelastic analysis and vehicle structural margins.
• Collaborate to integrate results into vehicle design decisions.
• Conduct trade studies and sensitivity analyses.
• Generate reports and present at PDR/CDR.
• Interface with customers and mentor other engineers.
• Review colleagues' analysis approaches.
