Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive engineering projects for LNG and LPG facilities in Massachusetts. You will supervise engineers, manage budgets, and develop standards to ensure safe, reliable service.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position emphasizes project leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to coordinate multi-year planning while supporting emergency responses and asset reviews.

Qualifications

• Ten years of engineering and project management experience in utility/industrial settings.
• Supervisory experience preferred and demonstrated staff development.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; approves time sheets and performance reviews.
• Manages project cost and performance; develops and approves project documents.
• Ensures design and specs for additions/replacements are accurate and timely.
• Develops preliminary designs and details as needed; collaborates across the Gas Business.
• Reviews requisitions and invoices; tracks budgets with variances when needed.
• Provides technical guidance to operating areas during normal and emergency operations.
• Conducts root-cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
• Evaluates technology and equipment for facilities; develops design/operation standards.
